The Emma Press

In 2020 Ian Grant was invited by Emma Wright, founder of the Emma Press, to join the Advisory Board of the company. The Emma Press is an independent BAME-led, feminist publishing house, based in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham.

The Institute of Psychoanalysis

The Institute of Psychoanalysis engaged Ian Grant to advise on a major publishing project. The assignment involves confirming international copyright clearances, reviewing final editorial development and assisting with global marketing of the project.

Time Productions

In June 2017 Ian Grant co-founded Time Productions with Niall Bishop. Time’s mission is to build a sustainable, independently-funded business to create new dramatic work and revive classic work, in the theatre and online, that resonates in contemporary society. We are creators and collaborators, acting, writing, working alongside new and experienced dramatic talent.

The Poetry Book Society

In 2016 Inpress Books Ltd rescued the Poetry Book Society, founded in 1953 by T.S. Eliot and other literary figures, from going into administration. Inpress acquired the assets, took on the liabilities, hired a new manager and re-invigorated this critical element in the British and international contemporary poetry eco-system. Ian Grant serves as Chairman of the Poetry Book Society.

Inpress Books supports more than 40 independent literary publishers in the UK and Ireland.   Ian Grant serves as Non-Executive Chairman.

Publisher and editor Elsbeth Lindner founded her online literary site in 2012, as a place to celebrate writing and writers, in particular novels and novelists. Alison Burns contributes reviews.

Britannica is a leading publisher in online and mobile media, delivering edited, current information to educational markets around the world. Ian Grant served as Managing Director of the UK and EMEA businesses, leading the transition from print to digital publishing in those markets.

City University London

City University London’s byline is ‘Academic excellence for business and the professions’. Alison Burns contributed to its vibrant and highly-regarded Creative Writing provision from 2003 to 2011.

Cornwall Editions Ltd

Creative Structure built a team of publishing and marketing professionals to transform under-performing IP assets into a new local publishing business, Cornwall Editions Ltd.

Majority World CIC

Majority World is a global photographic agency, highlighting the work of photographers from Asia, Africa and Latin America. Ian Grant served as non-executive director, advising the board from formal start-up to continuous trading.

The Future is Wild Ltd

The Future is Wild originated as an extraordinarily imaginative television series. The creator wished to broaden its reach. Creative Structure developed publishing products based on the series and provided management services.
